I voted today because not that long ago, women were not allowed to cast a ballot. They protested so my voice could be heard today.
I voted today because I know how many people were physically hurt for exercising one of their constitutional rights.
I voted today because I believe that marriage should be about love . . .
not about enterprise.
I voted today because education and public resources to knowledge make not only a smart populace, but a richer economy.
I voted because my personal strategy for success is not marrying a rich man. It’s working to be paid fairly and starting my own business.
I voted because ignoring sex does not make it go away. It increases disease, unwanted pregnancies, and people dependent on welfare.
I voted (and wrote this post) today because I realize one thing:
If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.
I voted today. Did you?
