Thank you for visiting my blog! This site sprung out my need for a creative outlet after completing my M.A. in Fashion & Textile Studies: History, Theory, Museum Practice at FIT. During my time as a student, I was fascinated with Twentieth Century fashion designers. I graduated in 2008, and missed researching and writing about my interests. Enter blogging. This site has motivated me to continue learning, sharing, and growing as a person. My main interests are topics surrounding American fashions from 1935-1965; collaborations between fashion designers and artists; the creative process; and current technological innovations that impact the fashion system.
Professionally, I have taught fashion at the college level. Some of the schools I have had the privilege of being a faculty member of include: The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM), Centenary College, Wode-Tobe Coburn, and Berkeley College.
If you’d like to know more about me, I suggest you read some of my posts! A great place to start is with some of my favorites.
