This reminds me of a book that opened me up to this same idea, that the past is in flux in being (re-)written by the present. It also explains the physics behind the concept of “time” and how it’s illusory (which is confirmed by many wisdom traditions and of course quantum science). The book is “Remembering the Future: The Physics of the Soul and Time Travel” by Brooks Agnew.
