Santa came to my house a little early this year. In my family, we are all “Bad Santas”. None of us seem able to keep presents a secret. Mostly because we are always excited to give gifts. Another reason is we are are partially afraid the person may go off and buy the item before you can give it to them as a gift. At any rate, I came home to an extra special gift:
Ever since I wrote the post for my friend Adam about Tuxedos & Shoes, I’ve been obsessed with a pair of Doc Martens Pendleton boots. I saw them while do the research for the post, and went completely gaga. Pendleton is an American owned and operated woolen mill. They are known for their excellent fabrics, many of which are inspired by Native American designs. Doc Martens is one of my favorite shoe companies -British, well-made, and their boots seem to last forever. Now they were teaming with an American textile company? How could I not go crazy over these boots?
When I like something, I’m about a subtle as a ton of bricks. So Santa must have been listening.
I just love everything about these! The color of the leather, the yellow stitching, the wool jacquard contrasting fabric . . . all the colors work so beautifully together. The boots could easily be worn with black or brown, so they’re really versatile with my wardrobe. I love, love, LOVE these! Thanks, Santa :)
